Animal Adaptations
Discover how animals native to Northern Arizona have adapted to thrive in their unique environments.
Duration: one class period (~ 1 hour)
Students learn about natural selection and animal adaptations through a presentation and hands-on activities. They examine real and artificial specimens—such as fur, replica skulls, and other materials—to explore how animals survive in their environments.
The program can be adapted in advance for classrooms with cultural sensitivities.
