Sail Cars

Harness the power of the wind to see how far your car can go!

Duration: 1 class period, or 45min-1.5hours

Students learn about renewable energy and the engineering design process through building sail cars- half sail boat, half car. They continue to design, test, and redesign to get their car to go the fastest and straightest on our box fan race track.

Elementary classes will focus on wind energy and sail design. Middle and High Schoolers will go more in depth with renewable energy, the design process, and more advanced designs.
