Grand Canyon Geology
Step back in time 2 billion years to learn about the variety of environments that used to exist in Northern Arizona, as shown through the layer-cake geology of Grand Canyon!
Duration: one class period (~ 1 hour)
Learn the layers of Grand Canyon, how the Canyon was formed, and why it is such a unique treasure. We will even create the Grand Canyon out of playdough! This program can stand on its own, but is particularly great when paired with our Rocks Rock (intro to geology) program.
