Seeds on the Move

Grades: This is a classic 2nd grade program but can be adapted for PreK–2nd grade

Duration: 1 class period

How do seeds get from one place to another? Through hands-on observation of real seeds, students discover the many ways seeds travel and why seed dispersal is important for plants. Students explore how seeds move by wind, water, and animals, and learn how seed dispersal gives new plants the space they need to grow.
