Natural Senses

Grades: PreK, K, 1st, 2nd

Duration: 1 class period, 30-50 min

Discover the natural world through sight, sound, smell, touch, and, when appropriate, taste. Students use their five senses to observe, compare, and describe the plants, animals, and natural features of the outdoor world, while exploring how their senses help them gather
information about the world around them. This field
experience can be adapted for a natural outdoor space at or near your school, be part of a field trip, or be in our garden at the Willow Bend Center.
