Rock Talk
What does geology mean? Why do we study it? Explore the world beneath our feet - and all around us!
Duration: one class period (~ 1 hour)
Students learn about sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic rocks, as well as the rock cycle that connects them all. Numerous rock samples are explored and analyzed, and we cover the depth of geologic time. Students will be able to identify different types of rock, how they formed, and the uses they may have.
