Animals of Northern Arizona

Duration: one class period (45 minutes to an hour)
Discover the amazing animals that call northern Arizona home! Through hands-on investigation of animal tracks, scat, furs, and other interactive materials, students explore local habitats, discover how animals meet their basic needs, investigate the characteristics that help animals survive, and learn how plants, animals, and habitats are connected.
This program can be presented in your classroom, as a field experience at Willow Bend Environmental Education Center, or as a field trip to Frances Short Pond, where students observe local wildlife and habitats firsthand.
