Science Saturday is an event held on the first Saturday of every month from 9:30am-11:30am. Each month is focused on a different environmental theme, featuring fun and educational hands-on activities. Artists, scientists, and experts join us on occasion to provide extra special opportunities to learn and explore. There is no need to RSVP and the events are drop-in format.
Thanks to generous funding from Flagstaff365, Creative Flagstaff, and the City of Flagstaff BBB Revenues, this event is free and open to the public.

Science Saturday
A fun free event for the whole family!
Engage in live demonstrations, make crafts, and hear from local experts on a changing theme every month! Drop in to Willow Bend anytime 9:30-11:30am on the first Saturday of every month.
Adult Workshops
Once a month local experts teach about the natural world around Flagstaff through a hands-on activity, craft, or outdoor excursion.
Topics include wild foods, foraging, tracking, homemade herbal remedies, watercoloring, and more!
Family Science
Join us at Willow Bend once a season for a truly inspiring nature themed event. Past events have featured live animals like eagles, desert tortoises, and even Gila Monsters!
Guided Tours
Learn about Flagstaff history, geology, wildlife, and more during a guided tour. Destinations include Picture Canyon, Downtown Flagstaff, and the famous Beale Wagon Road.

Our Science Saturdays and many other events we do are Free!
Our Adult Workshops typically have a cost but that includes take home materials.
Each event will vary- check their specific event page for exact pricing.

Many of our events require advanced registration to attend. Check the event page for exact details.
Our Science Saturday events are always open to drop in with registering.

Classroom programs are typically about an hour in length, but can be tailored to your time limits.
K-2nd grade programs are usually 30-45min.
Field trips vary based on location, ranging from 1 hour to the whole day.

Potentially! Email info@willowbendcenter.org with what you have in mind. We may be able to accommodate a custom tour in most natural areas around Flagstaff, or do private indoor programs.
