The Ponderosa Pine Arts Festival invites participants to engage with the ponderosa pine in a new way, exploring its cultural significance, ecological importance, and artistic potential through hands-on workshops and/or guided experiences.

Call for Artist/Speaker Proposals - submit now until September 6th!

Willow Bend Environmental Education Center is seeking artists, creators, scientists, educators, naturalists, and local experts to propose engaging 2-3 hour workshops for adults. We are interested in creative and meaningful ways to explore the ponderosa pine through art, making, science, ecology, culture, history, writing, and/or our relationship to place. We are looking for engaging experiences that invite participants to see the familiar ponderosa pine in a new way.

Selected artists will receive an artist stipend and we also have a budget for workshop materials. Willow Bend prefers to purchase materials directly whenever possible.

Submit a proposal by September 6th, 2026 at 11:59 PM. 

Please note: Submitting a proposal does not guarantee selection or participation. Artist fees and material support will be determined based on the proposed workshop, overall festival budget, final program, and available funding. Willow Bend will discuss compensation and materials with selected artists before confirming participation.
