Family Science: Grow Your Own Microgreens!

  • Willow Bend Environmental Education Center 703 E Sawmill Rd. Flagstaff United States (map)

Your family can discover the magic of growing your own food in this interactive, hands-on workshop!

Join us on February 21 for a hands-on workshop with Jamison Douglas of Living Foods, a local Flagstaff microgreens and sprouts business. Learn the essentials of growing microgreens, from soil setup and planting to watering and harvesting, and create your very own tray to take home.

Microgreens are a fast-growing, space-efficient way to enjoy fresh, homegrown greens in as little as 10 days, even in winter. Whether you’re a beginner gardener or simply curious about growing your own food, this workshop will give you the skills and confidence to cultivate your own nutritious microgreens.

All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary; just bring your enthusiasm for healthy, homemade goodness! This event is free, made possible by the Flagstaff Sustainability Grant. Donations to support our programs are appreciated.

This program is best suited for ages six and up.
