Materials Recovery Facility Tours
(a.k.a. Flagstaff Recycling Tour)

Willow Bend offers guided tours of the City Recycling Center/Norton Environmental Materials Recovery Facility, available Tuesday through Friday. Thanks to the City of Flagstaff, we offer these tours free of charge. Contact Willow Bend (779-1745) to schedule a tour. Contact Tammy Bishop at the City of Flagstaff (213-3604) to cover the cost of busing.

The tour occurs in safe areas of the fully operational plant. Students may view materials as they are processed. The tour includes information on the City's curbside collection of recyclables, conservation of natural resources, and ideas about how to reduce waste.

This tour is the perfect compliment to the classroom program "Trash and the 3 R's", available for 3rd-5th grade students. For more information on this class, please see our Program List.
